Our Story

Training Sideways (Evam Corporate Training Pvt Ltd) is India's foremost art based soft skills behavioural training company. At Sideways, we offer behavioural training solutions for organisations using art based experiential methodologies (theatre, music, dance, visual arts, role-plays, gamification, etc.) Our focus is on delivering measurable training outcomes while always taking a route that is the most fun and engaging for the participants.

Co- founded in 2011 by Karthik Kumar and Sunil Vishnu K, Sideways is a dynamic team of training professionals with diverse skill sets, educational backgrounds and corporate experience, drawn together by an abiding interest in people. Its managing directors include Sunil, Bharani Kandala, Kaushik Palicha and Divyesh Palicha.

Since 2011, we have delivered over 1500 interventions for more than 350 clients including Google, CISCO, HUL, Mahindra, Renault, Ford, Accenture, Vodafone, Citibank, Genpact, HP, KPMG, Shell, Tafe, CIPLA, GSK, Star TV & more.

Training Sideways is a venture of evam, India's pioneering, award winning theatre-based arts entrepreneurship which has been working in the areas of performing arts, arts education and arts management since 2003.

Our Core Team

Sunil Vishnu K

Sunil is a seasoned theatre-based trainer, actor, director, and motivational speaker with over two decades of experience in applying the power of theatre to organizational learning and development. He has worked with more than 300 companies over the past 18 years, designing and delivering impactful programs that foster growth, learning, and transformation.

A certified diversity professional, Sunil specializes in using drama-based methodologies to address behavioral training needs, with a strong focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). His passion lies in enabling individuals and organizations to unlock their potential through immersive and experiential learning.

An entrepreneur at heart, Sunil co-founded evam at the age of 26 and later co-founded Training Sideways at 33. Today, he continues to guide people and organizations in their growth journeys—one step at a time.

Sunil holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from BSSS College, Bhopal (1998), a Master of Commerce from Bhopal University (1999), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (2001).

Pavithra Ramaswamy

Pavithra Ramaswamy has been an integral part of evam since its early days, joining the team during its inception in 2003. A commerce graduate from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai, she later earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Finance) from Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship, Bangalore.

In 2007, after completing her PGDBM, Pavithra officially joined evam as a Project Manager and became a core team member, playing a key role in staging numerous theatre productions across India. She also led the prestigious MetroPlus Theatre Festival—organized by The Hindu—across five cities for seven consecutive years.

Over the years, Pavithra has continued to produce independent theatre shows and has contributed significantly to the company’s growth in her leadership role. She currently serves as Head of Finance and is part of the top management team at Training Sideways, bringing strategic insight and operational excellence to the organization.




Cinthoorika Sambamurthy

Cinthoorika Sambamurthy is a core team member at Training Sideways, currently serving as Head of Operations. She oversees organizational processes, acting as the bridge between all the stakeholders and ensuring seamless execution across teams.

A Journalism grad from M.O.P. Vaishnav College (2009), with a Postgraduate Diploma in Visual Communication from Loyola College (2011), Cinthoorika began her journey with evam in 2011 as a Project Manager after collaborating on multiple projects as part of Team evam.

She went on to head First Rush, evam’s flagship acting course, managing over 40+ graduating batches. Over the years, she has built a decade-long expertise in planning and executing large-scale events, leading projects such as The Hindu Theatre Festival—one of India’s biggest theatre festivals—for over six years across five cities, along with multiple stand-up comedy festivals, children’s theatrical productions, and evam plays.

Cinthoorika also spearheaded, 'Happy Cow', evam’s children’s education division, where she integrated dramatics into academic programs across schools in India. In addition to her operational responsibilities, she is a part of the design team, contributing to the creation of key training programs that have shaped the company’s learning offerings.

Today, she brings her blend of creativity and structure to Training Sideways, driving organizational growth.

Vasanth Subramaniam

Vasanth Subramaniam is a core team member at Training Sideways, currently serving as the Head of Marketing while also playing key roles in Business Development and e-Learning initiatives. A Production Engineering graduate from NIT Trichy (Class of 2008), Vasanth began his career at MECON Limited, a Government of India Public Sector consultancy, where he worked for four years.

He later transitioned into the creative industry by joining evam as a Project Manager, where he produced a wide range of shows and programs under banners such as First Rush, Happy Cow, and evam Standup Tamasha. He was instrumental in launching and managing the evam Standup Tamasha YouTube channel, as well as organizing its international tours across Singapore, the US, the UK, and more.

Vasanth has produced numerous digital and video content pieces for both public platforms and private licensing, contributing significantly to the digital presence of evam Entertainment and Training Sideways. His cross-functional expertise bridges creativity, content strategy, and business growth, making him a valuable part of the leadership team.
