Training Sideways works with numerous organisations to help create a more inclusive workplace across various parameters. Whether during internationally recognised calendrical opportunities or through specific interventions based on organisational needs, we provide awareness and learning initiatives on various types of inclusion, including, but not limited to:

  • Gender
  • LGBTQIA
  • Persons with Disabilities
  • Inter-Generational
  • Neurodiversity
  • Regional & Cultural

Training programs specially oriented toward Gender Inclusion and Building Allies at every level of the organization. These are customized interventions catering to specific needs of any organisation, depending on their current level of Gender Inclusion. Here are a few existing workshop themes:

I for Inclusion – playshop on inclusion
A-se-Ally – playshop on being an ally
She says, He says, They say – gender sensitization workshop
Assimilation of returning Mothers
SHEroes - Panel discussions

We believe conversations around the inclusion of people from different gender identities and sexual orientations should happen throughout the year, not just during Pride Month. We also believe that building active and vocal allies in the workplace is critical for everyone to feel included. Some of the interventions we provide include:

Will you be my Ally? - an interactive play
Once upon a PRIDE - an interactive storytelling show
Rainbow Stories - a series of fireside chats
Let’s talk about it! - Inclusive Tambola

We work with organisations to create a more accessible workplace, covering various aspects such as Equal Opportunities, Accessibility, Workplace Policies, Skill Development, Advocacy and Awareness, and more. We also help organisations interpret and implement the guidelines laid out in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016. Here are some of our interventions:

The most amazing show, that you can’t see - A blind experience
Inspire-ability - Fireside chat with pioneers like Virali Modi, Devanshi Satija, etc
A for Ability - an interactive play on PwD inclusion
We hear you! - an interactive storytelling show

From understanding the different generations in the workforce—Traditionalists, Boomers, Xers, Millennials, and Next Gen—to learning tools for communicating effectively with people from different generations, our inclusion programs are the best way to get people working together. We use multiple formats, such as:

Workshops
Play-shops
Film-shops
Culture Trails
Game Shows

The starting point is understanding that differences in human brain function—such as those seen in autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological or developmental variations—are natural and valuable, rather than deficits to be cured or fixed. From there, we promote the idea that there is no single "correct" way for a brain to work and encourage acceptance and inclusion of all people, regardless of their neurological makeup. We organize:

Interactive Performances & Forum Theatre
Talks by SMEs & thought leaders
Panel Discussions, involving employees
Q&A sessions

As cities and workplaces become increasingly cosmopolitan, people from different regions and cultures need to come together, driving organisational success. However, unconscious biases inevitably play the villain. It becomes critical for employees at all levels to understand and learn about the following for organisational success:

What is Regional / Cultural Bias?
Some situations where it can manifest
How does it manifest?
How does it impact the victim & the organisation?
How can we manage it?
How can managing it be beneficial to us and the organization?
